4 Ways to Treat Yourself and Unwind at Home this Fall

Right around this time of year, life starts to get hectic. Temperatures drop and seasonal allergies take their course; midterms happen, we start to prep for the holidays, and there seems to be absolutely no alone time.

However, it is essential that you take that break or a day to yourself every once in a while during this busy season. Feel like you’re going too fast? Slow down and unwind with these four ways to treat yourself and unwind this Fall.

Warm, candle-lit baths

When the air gets dry, my sinuses wack out and I get throbbing headaches. I like to cure my ailments with a nice, warm bath. The other night, I even decided to light a few candles, turn off the lights, and play a relaxing mix on Spotify. It’s an amazing way to relax and take your mind off of work before heading to bed.

Shopping tip: If you’re looking for candles, check TJ Maxx/Marshalls. My favorite brand to buy from either store is DW Home because they are so affordable but have a great selection of scents. They even have new holiday scents which I have linked below!


Luxury underwear from Underclub

When’s the last time you bought new underwear? Now, when’s the last time you bought a really nice pair of underwear? If you can’t remember, it’s time to sign up for Underclub. Keyword: motivational. As much as we all love a good romance novel or even a thriller, they just aren’t the most uplifting or relaxing to read. Make Homemade Hot Chocolate

Another one of the ways to treat yourself is to grab some hot chocolate and the TV remote. When I see the first signs of snow, I am going to make this simple recipe from A Cozy Capsule. If you want something else, pour yourself the best bottle of wine you have and un(wine)d.

Remember to take time to yourself regularly this Fall and every season of the year. Self-care is so important and you will be much more productive and happy if you indulge in some ‘me-time’ at least once a week. Find your favorite ways to treat yourself.

    Candle-lit baths are truly the best. When I do those, I go all out with aromatherapy and the whole shebang. The other three never hurt anyone. either. Gosh! I can’t wait until my holiday breaks so that I can spend more time peacefully relaxing and treating myself.
