If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I was home for my Fall Break. It’s been great to get away from the big city and back to my roots for a few days. While home, I thought I would finally do a personal style post. Thanks to my amazing boyfriend, I have a ton of great pictures to work with!
I started the day by scavaging through my wardrobe at home, looking for the perfect top to pair with my trench coat and jeans. I wore this fuzzy crop from American Apparel because I just love the black and white together while also having the pop of classic red lipstick and tan color from the jacket.
I would have also paired this with a red plain tee if I was going for a more grungy look rather than a chic one. There are a lot of ways you can wear a trench coat!
I just love the details on this trench coat
. I have always wanted one since I had developed a love for Burberry way back when I was a 12-year-old. The upside is, this one is not even close to the price of a Burberry one which makes me (a college student without a job) a very happy girl.
It’s perfect for any fall occasion at any time of the day!
That same day, I went out to a nice dinner with my boyfriend, giving me an excuse to wear my new trench as well as the TopShop choker I bought during Labor Day sales.
The trench coat worked perfectly with this all black ensemble. It makes it look all the more elegant and works beautifully with the choker because it shows it off, unlike a lot of jackets that hide your chest and neck.
And I can’t forget to show off my new Steve Madden purse my mom picked up for me. I love it for both of these looks. Perfect for day and night, and the fall season!
I’m wearing the mules as much as possible before I am knee-deep in snow…

has a lot of great finds, you just have to search! Despite the trench coat looking expensive, it was under $20. I completely suggest getting your hands on one!
